Great news everyone! The Coffee Club just re-opened its branch at Marsa al Bateen and the timing couldn’t be better! I was psyched to discover that they’d added Keto items on their menu, but more on that later.
This particular branch has the potential to become the cafe for hangs and hearty breakfasts with the family. The location is great, just a few steps away from Al Bateen Marina promenade. And since the weather is cooling down nicely, we can make use of the outdoors tables they have arranged. On the other hand, the casual yet chic indoors decor is not something you should miss out on.
I liked their beautiful booth seating and faux plant walls that would make a great backdrop for those Instagram worthy coffee shots.
The event organizers had a digital caricature art station set up for the attending food bloggers and guests. All we had to do was sit pretty for a couple of minutes and then bam! Our caricatures were transferred on to cute coffee tumblers.
Dina Stars, a talented local musician, was performing acoustic versions of our favorite songs and really helped set a laid back ambiance.
Let’s talk food:
There were several tasting trays getting cheerfully circulated by the staff. Huda (my sister) declared 2 of those as the winners; the mac and cheese croquettes and the tahini chicken and avocado wrap samplers.
Let’s talk keto friendly food:
I can’t begin to describe the feeling of ordering something straight off the menu without having to tell the waiter to hold a certain ingredient or to substitute it with another. I tried the garden salad with burrata which was nothing short of perfection. Beautifully presented, with a zesty pesto drizzle and truffle oil dressing.
I also tried the keto bowl which was just as beautiful to look at. It had all the right fats, greens and nice grilled chicken breast. The pomegranate seeds added a sweet crunch to it.
Huda asked for a nice little chocolatey surprise. And so, I figured if I had to sit through watching milk poured over a chocolate dome, so should you.
I’ll certainly go there to try their other keto items and go on coffee dates with friends, provided they won’t get annoyed by the frequency.
Congratulations to The Coffee Club on the re-opening and I wish them loads of success. I hope they consider a keto-friendly desserts menu, ’cause that would guarantee hordes of ketoers and low-carb dieters flooding through their doors!
Special thanks to BPG Orange team for inviting me to be part of such a beautiful event. ❤??
