What was your motivation?
What made me get serious was an abnormal mammogram. I knew I had to take control of my health.
How did you change your eating habits?
I cut out lattes, sugar, and carbs, along with some intermittent fasting. I also drank lots of lots of water. I eat a lot of green leafy vegetables, and only meats I eat are turkey, salmon, and chicken breast.
What was your exercise routine?
I walk five days a week for 30 minutes. I do not do any other forms of exercise other than that.
What is your starting weight? What is your current weight?
I started at 220 pounds, and my current weight is 163 pounds. I feel better and I’m looking better.
What is your height?
I am 5’7″.
When did you start your journey? How long did your transformation take?
I started my journey in January 2018. I lost the first 20 pounds in four months. Then, I fell off track due to a car accident in May 2018. I lost my remainder (37 lb) over four months (Mar-Jun 2019) with intermittent fasting, walking, and eating healthier.
What is the biggest lesson you’ve learned so far?
The best of the biggest lesson I’ve learned so far is that consistency and moderation is key.
What advice would you share with women who want to lose weight?
My best advice for women is to stay the course. This journey is truly a marathon.
