Brittaney before and after

What was your motivation? What inspired you to keep going when you wanted to give up?
My motivation is the desire to live a healthy, active lifestyle. Being so overweight truly prevented me from living life the way I knew I wanted to live it.

When did you start your journey? How did you change your eating habits?
Mannnn, I’ve been on this journey since about 2012. I have gained and lost weight during all of my adult life. After losing 100 pounds twice on my own and gaining the weight back both times, I had Gastric Bypass weight loss surgery on April 30th of this year. Since then, I have started eating a lot of whole fresh fruits and veggies, which I never really ate in the past. (Especially fruit, because I never really liked it.)

What did your workout routine consist of? How often did you workout?
I’m a whole fool in the gym, lol. I work out four times a week. I mostly lift heavy and do strength training workouts (i.e., flipping tires, battle ropes, the sled, the prowler, pushing cars, and running stairs). I also do about 30 minutes of cardio, three days a week.

What was your starting weight? What is your current weight?
My starting weight was 395 pounds, and my current weight is 293 pounds. I lost 100lbs in 5 months after surgery.

What is your height?

What is the biggest lesson you’ve learned?
I’ve learned that failure is not an option. I also learned that there’s nothing wrong with getting help if you need it.

What advice do you have for others who want to lose weight?
Focus on self-love above all. Loving yourself is so, so, so very important throughout this process. Also, understand that this process takes time.
