I’ve been getting canker sores for as long as I can remember. I get several breakouts a month. Prednisone has been the only thing that’s minimizes the duration and intensity. I’ve literally tried everything else over the years…except going gluten free. I’ve been reading that a lot of people notice their canker sores stop when they cut out gluten. So I’ve been trying to do just that. It’s definitely a learning curve and I of course I’ve had some slip ups. One time was accidental and the other I was just weak and gave in. In both instances I felt a sore starting within 1-2 hours. I always know they’re starting when my tongue (where they usually manifest) gets tingly. I’m just wondering if anyone else who gets a canker sores when they have gluten could let me know how long it is before they get a sore. I’m trying to figure out if these were just coincidental or I’d my canker sores are truly related to gluten.
