I’m waiting on my endoscopy and it sucks!

This post is really just to complain to a group of people who know what I’m going through. I’ve been eating gluten for the last six (ish) weeks and wow I’m really feeling it! It was a slow and painless start, but lately my intestines have been having a rough time to say the least.

My blood test came back with elevated antibodies, so now I’m waiting to schedule my endoscopy. I was really dreading that test, but now I’m almost anticipating it so it’ll be over already. Then at least I’ll have an answer and can go back to eating gluten free.

It was nice at the start when I felt free to eat my favorite foods again, and I’ll definitely miss them, but it’s not worth it. I don’t even really know how to describe the pain. Is it cramping? Kind of. Mostly I think it feels like something in there is burning. I have meds for the cramping, but I don’t think it’s helping very much 🙁

The doctor’s office is in the process of ordering the scope for my test, so I’m waiting on that to make the appointment. I think not knowing when it’s going to happen is making it worse; like when I have it scheduled, at least there will be a light at the end of this tunnel.

I know lots of people on here have gone through the same thing. How did you make it? I feel like I’m dying some days!
