I got the blood test. The way it was explained to me is that the blood test can have false negatives, but not false positives. If you get a positive blood test you should exclude gluten; if you get a negative one, but still believe you are gluten intolerant, you should get the scope done.
I haven’t gotten the scope done for a variety of reasons. I don’t want to pay for it, my sister has Celiac’s disease, I had a positive blood test, and I really didn’t want to eat gluten for six weeks (bare minimum for the scope to be effective). My symptoms stopped when I am very careful to minimize cross-contamination so I have no real reason to seek further confirmation. Hope this helps!!
