Transformation of the Day: Shiffon lost 135 pounds with intermittent fasting and hot yoga. She realized that in order to fulfill her purpose in life, she had to make health and fitness a priority.
What was your motivation? What inspired you to keep going when you wanted to give up?
My motivation initially came when I found out that my work mom had a serious illness. From there, I knew I had to get serious about my health. What inspired me to keep going was realizing that I have a purpose in life. I know I need to be healthy in order to live out that purpose.
How did you change your eating habits?
I started practicing intermittent fasting. I also used portion control to manage my meals.
What is your workout routine?
I work out three times a week. On my rest days, I do hot yoga, which helps me burn calories.
What was your starting weight? What is your current weight?
My starting weight was 350 pounds, and my current weight is 215 pounds. I’m excited to see how far I can go.
What is your height?
My height is 5’5″.
When did you start your journey? How long did your transformation take?
I started my journey in 2012 with a lot of ups and downs, but I was on a mission. My transformation took four years due to the struggles I faced. However, you can’t rush the process. Things take time, and during that time, you have to stay positive and keep a positive attitude.
I have a healthier lifestyle now. I’m still on my journey, and I’m enjoying the process.
What is the biggest lesson you’ve learned?
The biggest lesson I learned is that if you don’t like something that you see in your life, change it.
What advice do you have for others who want to lose weight?
Enjoy the journey, and never give up!
