Transformation of the Day: Ashley lost 100 pounds. As she changed her eating habits and worked out five days a week, the results she achieved motivated her to keep going. She credits a local trampoline bounce class with changing her life.
What was your motivation? What inspired you to keep going when you wanted to give up?
I was motivated by knowing what my health and my body would be if I lost the weight. The results I achieved inspired me to keep going when I wanted to give up.
How did you change your eating habits?
The most challenging thing was the food. I went vegan for the 1st 90 days to cleanse my body and have a fresh start. Then, I returned to poultry and seafood, along with other healthier food choices – No fried foods, no junk foods, and I ate smaller portions.
What did your workout routine consist of?
I worked out five days a week, including weight training two days a week as well. I became hooked to a trampoline bounce class by @nissefitfit. That class changed my life.
What was your starting weight? What is your current weight?
My starting weight was 298 I recently hit 100lbs lost on January 17, 2020. My weight is 198 pounds.
When did you start your journey?
I started on April 26, 2019. It took nine months to reach 100 pounds lost.
Is weight loss surgery part of your journey?
I didn’t have weight loss surgery. I achieved these results by just making better eating choices and with hard work and dedication in the gym. You have to get your mind right and in the game first.
What is the biggest lesson you’ve learned?
I’ve learned to keep going. Don’t give up. Even if you fall off, get right back on track.
What advice do you have for women who want to lose weight?
Enjoy the process. Learn about your body and do what’s best for you! Also, don’t be so hard on yourself. Yes, be disciplined but not hard on yourself.
