Transformation of the Day: Charmane lost 89 pounds. For her, this journey has been about healing, manifestation, and being a blessing to people. She adopted a plant-based diet and created a workout routine that works for her.
What was your motivation? What inspired you to keep going when you wanted to give up?
I went through depression, started drinking a lot, and went through several challenges. As a child, I went to food for comfort, and after my pregnancy, I went back to that same old habit because I never dealt with why that habit was created in the first place!
Knowing the importance of healing, manifestation, and being a blessing to others is what inspires me not to give up.
When did you start your journey? How long did your transformation take?
I have had plenty of ups and downs. I initially started my weight loss journey in 2018 and gave up. I re-started back in 2019. In 2019, I weighed 232 pounds, and I lost the weight in 3 1/2 months.
How did you change your eating habits?
I grew up eating unhealthy, processed foods. For my first transformation, I eliminated that and only consumed lean meats, fruit, and vegetables. Before my 2nd transformation, I had already become a Vegan, so I cut out a lot of carbs and consumed fresh fruits and veggies.
Tell us about your workout routine.
I followed a program that I created for women who have goals that are similar to mine. I personally workout 6-7 days a week and twice a day.
What was your starting weight? What is your current weight?
My starting weight was 263 pounds, and I currently weigh 174 pounds.
What is your height?
I am 5’6″.
Is weight loss surgery part of your journey?
I have NEVER had weight loss surgery or any type of cosmetic surgery.
What advice do you have for others who want to lose weight?
If you’ve struggled with weight loss for the majority of your life (like I have) or just within the past few years, and if you are looking for the magic key to lose weight and think you’re going to be happy for the rest of your life when you do, then you will not succeed!
Losing weight starts within. It’s not about finding something or someone who motivates you. It’s not about the numbers on the scale. It’s not about all the typical things you’ve been told. It’s about HEALING! Healing is one of the hardest things to do in life, but you will reap the benefits in numerous aspects of your life, including becoming a healthier you.
This is the year of a multitude of things. For whoever this applies to, let this be your year of HEALING and MANIFESTATION. If you’re asking for a sign, HERE IT IS!
