Celiac testing question
I have just booked my appointment to get my celiac test done in two weeks. It’s been 8 days since I’ve stopped eating gluten and while I am still having some inflammation and bowel movement issues, I do feel a lot better. I’m very nervous to start eating gluten again. It wouldn’t be so bad if I could stay at home but I have to work a majority of the days up to my appointment. Do you have any tips to keep the pain down during this period? Also, how much gluten do I need to eat? What is the “minimal” amount?
also, is two weeks enough time to reintroduce my body to gluten? Like I said, it wasn’t like I was gluten free for a year or 6 months…it had only been 8 days. If I need to do this longer I will call and reschedule my appointment.
