Transformation of the Day: Courtney lost 83 pounds by working out in the gym and making healthier food choices. After having an awesome time on a cruise, she was less than satisfied with how she looked in the photos from the trip, so she decided to make some changes. Check out her story.
In 2017, I went on a cruise. Although I had a fantastic time, I was not
pleased with my pictures, so I made a vow to begin working on my weight.
I celebrated my 30th birthday with a photoshoot and captured my
almost 70-pound weight loss. I did it the old fashioned way; traditional gym workouts and eating healthy. #littleblackdress #bigweightloss
How did you change your eating habits?
I started by cutting out beef and pork. From there, I decided not to drink any calories. Water was my go-to drink. As my weight began to fall off, I started choosing healthier options. I would do baked instead of fried chicken, things like that.
Tell us about your workout routine.
My routine consists of weight training and cardio. I am in the gym at least 5-6 times a week.

My starting weight was 232 pounds, and my current weight is 149 pounds.
What is your height?
My height is 5’3″.
How long did your transformation take?
I started my journey in 2017, and I reached my current weight in May of this year. Now, I just want to tone.
What is the biggest lesson you’ve learned?
The biggest lesson for me is that you truly do not need anyone to hold you accountable. When you put your mind to it, you will do it.
What advice would you like to share?
Find a reason that makes you go harder every day and let that fuel your passion to be healthier.
