GF Halloween cookies!

Based on the holiday cookies recipe from “The how can it be gluten free cookbook”. The taste is great and I’m happy with the texture, but they’re so brittle. I followed the instructions to the letter. Maybe I should have left them in the oven longer? Is it my newbie baking skills, or can I blame the lack of gluten? :-/
